Well marked and cared for hiking trails. Plenty of points of interest including several stone buildings (at the beginning for those not up for a hike), 2 viewing decks, historic ruins, and lots of water views. About a 1.5 mile hike if you do the full loop.nAlso has a nice lawn at the beginning - seems like a great picnic spot!

This was a great hike with kids. It was about 1.25 miles long with pretty views and neat things to check out. I just wish the trails were marked in some way so you knew which one you were following and which way to choose at the few forks. But overall excellent and very family friendly, we will do it again for sure.

Gorgeous, quiet wildlife reserve with historical significance and good signage. Goes through multiple habitats.

This place is seriously underrated. Despite this being federal land, most people don’t even know about this place. The short hike manage to go through 3 distinct types of land: deciduous forest, salt marsh, and meadow. Not many short walks manage to accomplish. You also have some history along the trail, with the ruins of several structures present, including ones frequented by Eleanor Roosevelt. If you have an hour to spare, I can’t recommend this place enough,
