I made a purchase here the other day and was talked into getting a credit card through them by a very enthusiastic cashier. I kept refusing, telling her that I did NOT want the hit on my credit right now because I was applying for loans this month for my business. The cashier assured me that it was NOT a hard inquiry and that my credit would not be affected. She assured me that she was positive about this, having applied for the card herself. Well, I got the card at her discretion and today my credit dropped ten points from the American Eagle inquiry. To say that I am furious is an absolute understatement. I am very upset that I was lied to and would like a manager to reach out to me regarding this issue. Obviously there is nothing that can be undone at this point, but I am just appalled at the lack of staff training at this location.
