Origins Preschool

Looking for childcare can be a daunting task. As we looked for a place for our two children (then 3 months and 2 years old), the results I found were less than desirable, until I found Origins. From the start Genevieve was very professional and proud to show what she has built. Immediately, I noticed the smaller group sizes, and personal attention. Her staff are people, who not only love children, but are pursuing or have early childhood education. I was amazed at the attention to education through play. This is not a place to just watch your child while you are at work. They want your child to thrive in all aspects. I felt so comfortable leaving my kids there, and often had a hard time pulling them away to go home at the end of the day. I have piece of mind knowing my kids are being fed healthy foods, learning to identify their emotions, being rewarded for their positive behaviors, and shown how to redirect any negative behaviors. As my daughter turned three, she was able to move upstairs to the preschool. She continued to love the staff, and her friendships and social skills continued to blossom. Overall, I think the ultimate validation that I made the right choice is that my kids are excited to go there, and they continue to grow into the great little people that you would like them to be.

I just wanted to say how much we appreciate having our daughter enrolled Origins Preschool. Searching for affordable, safe and quality daycare in Missoula was a daunting and stressful process. With my wife returning to work full time, we had to quickly make this important decision. Fortunately, after our interview with Genevieve and interacting with several of the staff, we both knew that this would be a very good fit for our daughter.nWe enrolled our daughter just before the Christmas break and she had only four days (in two weeks) of school before being off for several weeks. The last couple days she was having some difficulty with us leaving and we were concerned how she would react after being off. Those first days back she had no problems being dropped off and didn’t want to leave when picked up, and this is how it still is now. From interacting with our daughter other students and staff, we get to see the engaging and nurturing environment that is above all safe and fun for our daughter.nBut most of all I wanted to comment on the quality of staff employed at Origins. From our first interaction we were impressed how they were to us and our daughter. Even though it is a very busy place, it is never a burden or annoyance to staff to give us an update on our daughter’s day, whether it is how she slept, how much she ate or something significant that she did. They are attentive to each child and their needs as well as the concerns and interest of the parents. It is this attentiveness and communication that allows my wife and I to trust that our daughter is in a safe and enriching place at Origins Preschool.

We had both of our kids in the Origins Preschool and were so glad to have a great option for child care. We loved the attention that they paid to high quality food and the small class sizes. We weren't just a number with Origins. Our kids were part of their community. Both kids learned a lot and grew a lot in the Origins program. Thanks to Origins and all of the teachers for providing a safe, fun place for our kids!

My daughter attended Origins for three years starting at nine months of age. She loved it, and so did I. The ratio of teachers to kids was always kept low, and there was never an over-enrollment - in fact, Origins often has waiting lists because classes are small, and few kids cycle out. In fact, most of them seem to stay for years, enjoying the organic food, caring and competent staff, and first-rate director-parent communication. The best baby care and preschool in town!
