Stopped here on a road trip. The food and service was outstanding! I got the Greek salad with gyro meat and my boyfriend got the chicken plate. Both were big portions and absolutely delicious. When we’re in Missoula again, this will be our first stop!
This place is like a dive-ey, fast-ish food gyro place that is well worth the stop. Before I talk about how good the food was, we were so impressed with the cleanliness and how attentive the staff was, cleaning their hands and changing gloves constantly. You could tell the staff was also super passionate about their food which is always a good sign. Next, bread is dough-ey, the sauce is so satisfying, and the meat is tender. YUM
This place is as fantastic now as it has ever beem.nnIt's been many years since I've been here (moved away). I was in town today, though, and decided a Gyro would hit the spot. They were top of my list when I lived here, and they're still top of my list. So good.
I used to go to all the gyro shops in Missoula when I was a kid with my mom and I can for sure say that #1 gyro was the one that stuck with me the most. I hadn’t been there in a few years so I decided to go grab a special from them today at 7:35 pm and needless to say it was amazing food and to top that the service was even better somehow, and it was 25 minutes to close! Usually I’d expect my food to get spit in ordering that close to close but at #1 gyros you get treated like family. Tasha was the manager on shift when I had this amazing experience and she’s always has been when I’ve gone in and has always made me happier than I was when I walked in. Thank you guys for being such an amazing local restaurant, you have my support!
