Chester airport is great. The home of Whelen Engineering complete with LED rotating beacon and self service fuel.
My husband and brother-in-law were treated to a ride in a biplane that traveled over the Connecticut river for their birthdays here. It was a great experience and we've been coming back every since, just to watch planes of all models and vintage take-off and land. There's plenty of free parking and it's fun to watch, even on a clear winter day.
Great airport to leave from to go to Long Island. Avoid the ferries and get there in 20min.
