Safe and visible meet up spot. Well maintained - no overgrown trees or debris. Plus added safety bonus there was a state police cruiser who did a drive thru and when I ran out of gas a different time there was one there super fast to assist!!!
Easy on off the highway
I gave this park and ride one star because it was there and usable, but it was small and very dangerous to get in and out of. I saw one accident and 2 more close calls. The entrance is less than a hundred feet from the exit of the highway on a curve where people seem to be driving extremely fast. Use a different lot if possible this one is crappy but usable ! Oh yeah and there's probably only room for 20 or so vehicles very small !!!
Exit 42 park and ride is a good place to park your car if you need to commute with somebody else. The area is fairly well kept although not well lit at night but occasionally state troopers patrolling the highway stop by and check out the parking lot to make sure there's no Mischief going on
Its very convenient, easy access to north or south of rte 8. It's not overly large. But there's another larger lot that's just around the corner.
