Independent, single owner grocer with five star reviews has been bought out as of July 2020. The subsequent remodel includes some much needed improvements, but the new store (Foodtown) is leaving a poor taste in my mouth. For example, the nice new end caps in front of the registers are oversized for the space and squeeze too much stuff into an already tight area which is uncomfortable for those of us with limited mobility, a poor trade off for high margin bagged candy. Also, the need for a loyalty card to get savings is the kind of corporate BS I strongly oppose. Hope these things are addressed soon.

Been shopping at Marindino’s for a couple of years. I loved the fact that I could go in and buynmy meat and poultry, they had everything I wanted. Went there today and that will be the last time I shopnthere. The meat and poultry cases were pretty empty, all the “good til” dates in every package was for today or tomorrow! I refuse to buy anything that is only good for a day, that tells me it’s been sitting there for a few days. They had no chuck roast, stew meat, chicken thighs, or whole chickens. The butcher did cut me a chuck roast and stew meat. All done with “Foodtown”. One more thing, the staff here are awesome, no complaints!

Since buying out Marandino's, Foodtown carries mostly their own products. Can no longer find Brand names of items like Guida's or Hood milk. Meat selection is not what it was. Don't know who is cutting their chickens but having inch long pieces of cartilage on the side of a chicken breast is not something I ever expect to see. Overall disappointed in this store. Used to do 90% of my grocery shopping here when it was Marandino's. Now they are lucky to get 5% of my business. Very sad.

I want to make it very clear that Marandino was a 5 star. Been shopping there for over 20 years and it was always great BUT the NEW owners that bought this have made changes to the store and they are now raising many prices and stopped carrying some of my loved products. It’s a huge disappointment and I hate that such a nice family owned place sold out to such horrible new owners...

“Food Town” is ruining a good store! Don’t fix what’s not broke! The deli staff is rude. The store check out isles are tight where you can barley fit a cart. It is awful. I will miss Marandino”s. So sad.
