Great place to hike not hard at all trails are well maintained and always a great view
Decent mountain biking experience. Entered through Tunxis Trail. Was only able to cover half the forest. Half of the forest on a bike was about 7 miles/2.5-3hrs round trip. You can spend all here
I love this state forest, what a great place to be with friends, beautiful natural estate.
Conveniently located state forest with some nice views of the mountains and neat mountain biking trails and obstacles. Can be very difficult to navigate without a map or GPS. I've gotten lost on more than one occasion. The peak on the valley outlook blue/white trail overlooks mountains to the west. The campsite can be found off the yellow-blue trail just a couple of minutes northwest or to the right of the intersection with blue/white. Trail markings are freshly painted, though there are also gravel roads or side trails which are not marked.
