The views were great. But the blue trail ends.and no Mark's after that u have to use your judgement.,I hooked up to an old wood road then narrowed down to very rocky section.then that ended so I turned left and climbed a steep mtn and there I reconnected with blue trail .whoever is marking the blue trail mark it right or don't do it at all..trail is rocky use hiking boots recomended
So beautiful I would rather keep this secret you'll have to come find out for yourself.

Most websites say that you can follow the blue Mattabessett trail for a loop, but if there is a loop on Lamentation Mt it is hard to find. I parked at the Spruce Brook Dr trailhead and followed blue blazes along a muddy trail to the top of Lamentation Mt and eventually turned around without finding a loop back. There are some views of Silver Lake through the trees, but if you're looking for a nice overlook, and a loop trail, maybe hike around Giuffrida Park instead.
Good hiking trail options from easy to hard. Talk is well paved. Great scenery especially by lake and at top of Lamentation Mt. Worth the hike.
