I went to this location recently to purchase a vest. My fiancé and I where greeted by a note on the door that we must knock and then someone will assist us. So, the doors to the business where locked. Weird. We entered and the employee got suited up – aka mask and gloves. Gloves? A bit overboard, but okay. We asked to see the cheapest gray vests. Employee was showing us the grey vest and I touch an arm on a suit and the employee said we can’t touch anything. That only he can. Wait, what? We brought in my fiancé jacket to pick a vest out to go with it. If I can’t even put the vest with the jacket what is the point? I turned to my fiancé and said let’s go to the West Hartford location. Unsure if they are owned/operated by different people but my gosh, what a difference between Meriden and West Hartford. The doors where unlocked, the staff had only masks on and I was able to touch a vest and see how it worked with the suit jacket. I explained my weird experience in Meriden to the associate as she probably wondered what was up with my weird questions.nnOverall, Meriden is not the friendliest location.
Best place on the Weekends to Treasure Hunt
Was in a tough situation, drove up from ny, fogot my suit. Raced over to the store, lady was incredibly helpful, hooked me up fast, even steamed the shirt for me. Great place
