Very nice hike. You may feel slightly weird about accessing a trail through a private driveway, and there were some kids roaring around on their quads near the entrance. But that's nothing compared to the great experience and beautiful fall foliage one encounters on this hike. I recommend taking the red trail to the overlook, then onto blue, back to the overlook and finishing with orange.
My wife and I hiked up to Perrys Lookout from the Taine Mountain Preserve II trailhead at the end of Ventres Way in Burlington. The trailhead is 40 feet up what is also the driveway for 18 Ventres Way, at the end of the cul de sac, on the left side.nnIt’s a nice hike on well-blazed trails, although there are some branching trails on which we got side-tracked. The trail initially heads uphill to the south, but turns sharply and back-tracks to the north. Follow the Red Blazes until you reach the sign for Perrys Lookout, then follow the Blue Blazes with Red Dot to the lookout.
