My wife went to the sushi House in August on our vacation. I habitually try to use Connecticut magazine for restaurant reviews and suggestions. This restaurant was one listed under their best restaurants for sushi for 2020. The place had people waiting outside which is always a good sign. I do not mind waiting for any restaurant that has a faithful following because that is always a good indicator. The food I would have to give a two out of five. I ordered sushi and it was kind of warm and I found it unimpressive. Maybe we're just spoiled by our favorite sushi restaurant in East Windsor but I didn't like this restaurant sushi at all. Then the service I would have to give a two out of five as well. it was challenging to hear our waitress and I won't Mark any restaurant down for the fact that there is a language barrier and as there was in our case this visit. But our biggest issue was that the menu which was modified for covid-19 was very confusing. Nobody gave us any instructions and when we tried to order they were going to give us all we can eat specials for like $25 per person which was not what we wanted. when we were finally able to make sense of the menus we tried to order and then additionally found that there was things on the order form we were provided that didn't match up with the menu we were given. So things in the menu we could not even order at the time period. the worst part of the evening was when I ordered hot tea for my wife and I when my wife was away at the restroom. The tea came to our table and something was floating at the bottom of my cup. I'm kind of a clean freak so I told the waitress about it expecting to get a new cup of tea. She looked at me and said well that's just a tea leaf and then paused. I realized to her that if it was a tea leaf that there's no issue and I should just drink it but to me I was grossed out and something should have been done. I left it alone but that did not help the experience. I did not find them to be overly clean either. I'm going to have to say two out of five. We were given paper menus but they did provide us a laminated menu too which I don't remember being very clean and the bathrooms when I later used the restroom was not clean either. I followed by the rule that if the bathroom which customers can see is not clean then what would the kitchen look like which customers cannot see. And the atmosphere I'd give that a three out of five stars. Wasn't anything impressive it's about an average. this restaurant seems to be loved by a lot of locals in Rocky Hill but in my book it is not worth the time and frankly I am disappointed in Connecticut magazine. This restaurant would be a solid two out of five stars.

Absolutely gross. I use to love this place but all the sushi taste the same now no matter what you order. The service is terrible. They just slam the food on your table and walk off. I kept giving them chances but this is the last time I'll ever eat here.

Food is pretty good and fair pricing.
