Even though we frequently hike, this is the first time coming to Case Mountain. We parked in the Spring street lot. We were surprised by the beauty of the area, the stone bridge and the old family house across the street. This is a family friendly trail system. We followed the pink loop trail. It is short and you get a nice view of Hartford.

Great trails but there are quite a few so you have to pay attention or put on your GPS and mark where you parked. Your short walk could turn into a very long hike. The main trails are marked and then there are paths that go off on there own. We saw lots of wildlife, my daughter loved the pond and the ducks. The bridge was beautiful with all those arches. Made for a nice cool and relaxing walk through the woods with just enough adventure for the little one. Would love to go back without the younger ones and explore more of the mountain.

It has potential to be 5 stars, but it's missing one key element: map boards. usually the maps they provide at the bottom of the trail are gone by the time you get there midday. There's a few attached to trees but they've have been weathered or torn open and are unreadable. I saw a lot of people searching for maps on their phones trying to figure out where to go because of this issue. Otherwise this is a fantastic place to hike with moderate difficulty trails.

Great mix of technical and non technical trails. Beautiful view of Hartford from the summit. Great spot for trail running and mountain biking as well. The white trail seems to be the main easier trail. Starts from the lower lot at the bottom of the water fall. Above the waterfall is the pink trail. Both go to summit (about 1.5 miles of fairly easy walking)

Excellent hiking experience. Case Mtn has many hiking trails -- medium to low difficulty. Look at the trail maps before you go or just take the white or pink trails to mountain top and back.
