Is this the place near the Hilton? I went to this restaurant a while ago when in Hartford from NY. If this is the same place..... we were in a downstairs room. We had so much fun l. The owner and maybe his brother were there? Great food and super hospitable! ud83dudc99

Had dinner there last night with a few friends and it was amazing. I ordered the jerk salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The drink mixes were well done. I recommend trying the rum punch or blue Long Island. Altogether a great ambience from the front door staff to our waitress, the service was five star. We even got a complimentary shot of bumbu rum. Everyone should try this place.

I used to frequently vist the Russell for lots of my my own personal dinner parties,birthday parties, bridal parties, for YEARS ! Since the new location I cant even make a reservation or even get a hold of anyone via phone. Not Even to order take out I've left SEVERAL messages no return calls. Even friends/ business associates of mine that I have referred from out of state. That were visiting had this same experience. I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in the way things are currently being operated..

The first time I visited this restaurant, I had nothing but good feedback. This second time I visited was a complete disaster. We had a party of 6 people and arrived on time for our reservation. We were seated and told we had a total of 90 minutes to get drinks, finish our meal and leave. We ordered food, including appetizers and entrees about 10 minutes after arriving, and did not receive our food until 90 minutes after, including the appetizers. The drinks were very strong and did not taste good. The food was okay. The servings were smaller than I remember from the previous visit. I asked to speak to the manager and she gave us 20% off of our meals, which was nice. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

Loving the outdoor seating. Tables far enough apart to feel comfortable and safe. The Russell is back and the food is great. The service is amazing. Can't wait to see The Russell bring life back to that corner of Hartford. Welcome back.
