LA Fitness

I have been a member of la fitness for years close to like 6 yrs on and off..I have to say that this membership is not worth it. The cycling bikes are always broken flopping from side to side when your trying to work out the bike itself it the worst bike ever and does not give you a good workout. I got a poo boo bike and I drip in sweat the bikes there I don’t sweat at all even with full resistance the bike itself is just horrible. I put my account into freeze mode because of corona and then cancelled it. La fitness charged my account anyways and when I called to speak to the manager at the Farmington branch she said I never called to cancel it and her employees would never tell me to call and cancel it that you have to come in person. I know for a fact I called to cancel because I specifically remember having the conversation with the employee that I bought my bike and I don’t need the membership. My frustration here is with the manager who spoke down to me in a way that was saying I was wrong and never cancelled. The employees there are all straight out of high school always on there phone at the front desk and I have been told wrong information before by some of them. So to say that I’m definitely wrong and there is no possibility that one of her employees gave me wrong information is horrible customer service and extremely rude. I felt like she treated me like a child. I also have to add I have had extra charges from la fitness plus my monthly fee that I did not authorize that I have had to dispute a few times. I am mostly done with the horrible cycling bikes but I am really scorn off by the customer service at the front end. The energy and the tone of the conversation was belittling really insulting. There is a possibility that your employees did not tell me the right thing and speaking down to me and saying absolutely not is ridiculous. On top of that the manager said I had to come down in person to cancel it in the middle of a pandemic. I go to the grocery store and that is it and she’s trying to tell me I cannot cancel by phone. I have asthma and personally have been affected by corona I limit my trips out perhaps another horrible recommendation on this managers part. I ended up canceling with corporate which they make exceptions with for people who have been affected by corona or do not feel comfortable going inside which she did not offer me. If she is in fact a manager she should know this exception. She also wouldn’t tell me her last name which is just weird it’s on your business card so obviously there is some guilt on your part. I assured her this is business not personal and I’m making a complaint. She could of dealt with the situation in a whole different tone and I would have felt a lot different about this.

It was better then the one in Bristol in they need to stop the races that's going on Bristol

It's Great , wish they could open up the showers, and put in water bottle fountains instead of the old school drinking fountains which are also turned off

I was a member in the past and just came back to CT and was shocked to see the club was remodeled and how amazing it came out. I never have to wait for anything and the take COVID precautions very seriously in a kind way.

Hi this is my second time trying to cancel my membership at L.A fitness at West Hartford Location the management is so rude and unrespecfull to the members and customers too as well.they treat people like everything were free and we are not paying for a good service ! I'm so disappointed and aggravate from this store in specific I would like to receive and immediately solution to solve this problem. Thank you !
