I contacted the Taxpayer Advocate Service - not the IRS - but a federal agency created to provide taxpayer assistance. My call was answered quickly. They had access to my information and gave me good advice about how to resolve my problem. Who'd a thunk?

Whenever I have gone into this office, I have been told that I don't matter to them, and they have sent me away without resolving any issues. I will not be returning to this office or any other state office located in Helena MT.
