Such a great restaurant! The food is terrific here, you must get the brisket buns and the scallops on crispy rice. The lobster pasta is delicious, albeit something you can kind of get anywhere. The true standout of the meal was the martini I had- ice cold, just the way it should be served! Ambiance was great and since we went during Coronavirus it’s worth mentioning how clean this restaurant was.

After eating at OKO and having such a great experience, I was excited to try this place. After reading the review below me I’m a little hesitant to reserve a table now since health and safety guidelines are so important these days. Maybe when this COVID scare is over I will reconsider, but if staff isn’t taking health precautions seriously I don’t know that I feel comfortable, which is unfortunate because like I said before I was excited to try this place out. Gotta be careful these days!

While the food and service is exceptional, last Thursday I believe, when parking i noticed that an employee who I’m pretty sure is the hostess (frizzy red hair, overbite) was sitting in her car (black Jeep) and I saw her snorting drugs off her phone... which was pretty shocking especially at such a high end establishment. It’s more concerning now with the COVID situation when infection control is of up most importance. Maybe that’s acceptable behavior to the owners?? Either way I was shocked and I won’t be coming back again.

The food was good but my drink was not that great. It felt like it was made too strong, which is not a problem on nights I am not driving. Server was nice but lingered. When we walked into the restaurant he hostess was rather unpleasant, I felt as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. It has been a while since I have not been back due to how cold and unwelcoming it felt when I was there. Funny thing is recognized her from driving past her one evening and she was being searched by the police, that is one of those things that you do not forget seeing. It really does put her attitude into a different perspective.

Service: impeccable. Food: Completely hit or miss. We’ve been here twice and have given it a well rounded shot. ~30% of the menu has an Asian influence, which is not the chef’s strong suit. Overall, if The Cottage stuck to their America roots, the meals would be a lot more successful. There were some very high points (see below), but overall I will not be returning. Individual dish notes below.nnAmazing dishes/drinks: deviled eggs, squash agnolotti, spicy pear drink, sticky toffee puddingnnGood dishes: fois gras, crab toast, chocolate pot de crèmennMediocre dishes (Asian influence): spicy squid and broccoli (squid two ways, both overcooked), Maine halibut (very overcooked, vague curry flavoring), duck fried rice (duck overcooked and overall not great).nnMediocre dishes (other): shaved radish toast, dulce de leche cake (reminiscent of something from The Cheesecake Factory)
