Food is always great. The service is impeccable. They had every proper measure to have social distancing. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Diner if anyone needs a great meal and wonderful service
UPDATE AS OF 11/14/2020 ---- MANY OF THE PROBLEMS SEEM TO HAVE BEEN RESOLVED AND THE PLACE IS ONCE AGAIN ON THE RIGHT TRACK - THE COLE SLAW STILL NEEDS ATTENTION BUT IN TOTAL THE PLACE HAS RETURNED TO A VERY NICE LEVEL }}}} TRY THE TRIPLE DECKER ROAST BEEF CLUB - THEY MAKE A VERY GOOD ONE /// /// /// /// the Sherwood Diner has taken a terrible turn for the worse since the patriarch/father retired. Whoever it is that took over, should not have. Not a nice place anymore. Not nice at all. We have been going there for around 30 years, and now we will never go there again. If you want to have big heads, you better have good food - and you don't. Has turned into a nasty place with poor food.
A Westport staple the Sherwood diner has been a great restaurant for the many years I've lived here. Kind staff and servers, and everything on the menu tastes amazing. Try the green goddess dressing.

First of all , they have a nice heated outdoor spot they continue to improve. Staff is very friendly, cordial and generous. Just a few minutes away from the beautiful Sherwood State Park and beach, this is the best local place to come and refresh. Food was hot and tasty. We liked the cheesesteak which was not your ordinary cheesesteak.
