Great Big Y this one is in Trumbull/Stratford, Ct. It's clean & they have a employee wiping down the shopping carts constantly. They carry just about every type of food item their is. Their bakery is awesome; breads, pies, cakes, cookies, donuts & specialty breads & items. Fresh seafood & produce; try their Fish & Chips Dinner, it's Great!! They have plenty handicapped parking, along with wheelchair entrance & bathroom. Friendly & respectful employees. I had a Great experience here & I think you will also.

This store is amazing. Maciel is the best employee and a blessing to the store. One time I dropped my change at the register and he ran over to pick it up for me. He wasn’t even the one ringing me out he’s just appeared out of nowhere so I wouldn’t have to bend down. 10/10 employee and is the reason I won’t go anywhere else.

I used to actually respect Big Y a lot until more recent times, now it's for middle and upper class people and they treat their employees just as low as stop & shop! After the new CEO and COO took over the store has become too overpriced and the employees no longer get the benefits that made working at Big Y one of the best places to work. You're better off going to Stop & Shop or Shoprite if you want better prices and better deals.

Nice clean store with good selection. They have pretty good prices on produce, and they don't seem to overcharge on specialty items like gluten free bread, buy their selection of gf food could be a bit broader, although they have items, like gf ravioli, I can't find elsewhere. They have a good variety of condiments, including some Caribbean hot sauces and marinades, but I don't know if this stuff is at every store or just this one to meet regional demand. Meats are a bit pricey compared to other stores. Lots of nice prepared foods at a premium. Easy deli meats presliced and packaged and even some in small packs (half lb or less) which I like, but small variety compared to other stores. They also have a nice floral department and usually have very nice things including special houseplants that always look healthy and I've bought a few. Overall, I'll make the trip for certain items, but probably get my meats and fish elsewhere.
