I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and helpful the staff was yesterday when I got my beach passes for the season. When dealing with most municipal employees I have come to expect surly unprofessional people that could care less what your request may be. This could not be further from the truth with the people I came in contact with yesterday. The could have not been nicer, positive and more polite.
There are great people in the Norwalk parks and rec. however Gerry Anastasia is a unprofessional, uneducated, uncivilized, ignorant, insulting, discourteous, insensitive, crass and just the absolute worst person to be in the position he is in. He treats people that volunteers their time as if they are payed employees. He cannot send a proper email. He doesn’t know how to change formats and his direction in the emails he sends are horrific. This year he has been doing a lot more than normal because he is as lazy as lazy gets. He must have gotten wind that his career in Norwalk must be coming to an end. I hope his lackadaisical effort is too late.
