It was our first time at south end tonight and we absolutely loved everything! The octopus was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. We had the scallop risotto as well as the duck and both were fantastic. Finished off with the ricotta donuts. South end did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. Our sever Larry deserves a review of his own. In a world where servers seem to dread their job Larry was a true pleasure!! One of our new favorites in town.

Had an awesome experience all around..This restaurant is run top notch from the minute you walk in, very accommodating.nAlthough we are usually bar eaters, we dined in the dining room and I must say we were quite pleased. Our waiter Larry was awesome, very friendly, knowledgeable of the wine and food giving recommendations as needed.nWe enjoyed and were quite happy with the butternut squash with farm egg, house made pasta with summer corn, and magnet duck with foies gras, even had room for the carrot cake -to dye for, I must add.ud83eudd29nEveryone really was awesome....and we can’t wait to return from White Plains, NYnThank you all to a really amazing dining experience! ud83cudf7dud83cudf77ud83cudf7dud83cudf77nHighly recommend...

Incredible experience. Every bite was memorable. We kept ordering and sharing because everything was outstanding. I ordered halibut for dinner and still keep thinking about how amazing it was weeks later. I highly, highly recommend SouthEnd. The cocktails, apps, pasta dishes, and main courses are going to make you tell your friends the next day where you went last night. I can't wait to go back. (I drive 2 hours to eat there. ) New Canaan is very lucky to have SE.

Went here for brunch. Food was pricey and not impressive. My partner ordered steak rancheros medium-rare and it came out well done. The wait staff seemed to forget about us outside and it took forever for someone to take our order and then forever for the food to come out. We had to go inside to ask for our check. The staff was generally unresponsive.

I dine in this restaurant quite often! This is my favorite place to to have a good dinner. I visit this place at least once a month. The meals are fantastic, the workers are professional and the prices are good. I like meeting in this restaurant for a nice dinner.
