Babcock Preserve

Very well marked trails, well kept as well. Beautiful in the fall with all the leaves changing colors! There are about 3-4 different trails ranging from about a mile to just over four miles, mostly flat. Lots of parking on both sides of the trail. Really enjoyed it!

Great healthy way to spend family time. Beautiful trails. However, I agree with the other reviewers and would be nice to have the trails marked properly so that people don't get lost. I've been lost every time I go there.

I loved this preserve! Beautiful views in a very accessible location, however, I am very surprised that the town didn’t spend more time marking the trails. Please add better marking!

I had a long, exhausting hike through the preserve last weekend. It was quiet, social distancing was easy, and the trees provided a nice cover from the sun. However, as I said before, the walk was long and exhausting. This was. due to the fact that my hiking partner and I got incredibly lost. The trail markers are (aside from the yellow trail) impossible to follow. There are very few maps that can help you find your way.nWe didn’t feel scared, as there is cell service, but it was still unnerving, especially when it started to get dark.nIf you want to see some excellent birds, I recommend going, but be aware that it is easy to get lost.

We did the yellow trail, followed by the blue trail, for a total of about six miles of hiking. A couple places we strayed off because the trail is not clearly visible or not well defined in certain areas. Be careful.
