I’m rarely ever one to write a review but I’m just disappointed I had such an unpleasant experience in a place I used to love. This place has lost the golden touch it used to have when it was formerly Gabriele’s. For several years, Gabriele’s served as a one of the most renown restaurants in CT and a true neighborhood gem. The food used to be superb always and from the minute you’d walk in, the staff always used to ensure highest quality service as they made us feel like family every-time... We came to The Townhouse hoping it would follow the wonderful footsteps that Gabriele‘s established for itself for so many years. However, after dining at Townhouse last week with my wife and friends, we all left feeling profoundly disappointed. So much so, that we didn’t even order dessert. The bread we were served was stale and the food was just unpalatable. Especially the crab cakes I ordered which were cold in the center and certainly not freshly made. The service is not at all what it used to be and the new director, Diana, had a remarkably cold demeanor and a dry personality which was off-putting. I had such higher expectations for this place, especially given the high standard of which Gabriele’s set. I can’t say the same for the Townhouse... Really disappointing

I hosted my micro-wedding at Townhouse in October 2020. We worked with Dana Cifone, the Director of Operations, to plan the event. Dana was wonderful to work with -- she helped with every detail from planning the food to the decorations and she ensured the event ran smoothly.nnThe venue is really beautiful - we brought in centerpiece flower arrangements and Dana placed tea light candles up the staircase.nnThe food and service were excellent! Everything from the appetizers to the plated dinner was delicious - we received so many compliments on the food! The waitstaff was so attentive and very professional.nnWe would highly recommend this venue for an intimate dinner, small party, shower or wedding reception.nnThank you to the entire Townhouse team for making our event so perfect!

YOU MUST GO. I had a spectacular birthday here. Showed up with Champagne waiting for us as we arrived. The food, cocktails were spectacular. Service was A++. The decor is so gorgeous, and it truly represents Greenwich, CT. Every moment from start to finish was perfect. We will be back.

I attended for a seminar and so the meal was part of it. Therefore, I cannot speak for the menu items. However, the dishes we had were Salmon, I was told was Wild Caught, and NY Strip Steak. NY Strip was served over a very small portion of mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Seasoned well, but overly cooked beyond my specifications. The Salmon was crusted outside and tender inside.

I have been to this restaurant twice, on both occasions the food and service was excellent!nWe have had the Sea Bass, scallops, pasta etc....everything was divine. The server was attentive and the restaurant was well managed. My new favorite in Greenwich!
