I have been going to Radius for about 2 years. The hardest part of my Jiu Jitsu journey so far was showing up to my first class. Don't hesitate like I did. The instructors are top notch. Everyone there is super helpful and genuinely interested in helping you get the most out of the training.
I've been going to Radius on and off for about two years now. It was really scary going to the first class as I have no other combat sport experience, but I felt instantly at home. The atmosphere is relaxed, but everyone is very serious about helping you improve your skills, and the instruction is great. Jiu jitsu has really become a big part of my life now, I think it will be for a long time, and I really only have Radius to thank for that. I've never had a bad experience at Radius, only challenging ones. If you're looking for a first combat sports experience, I couldn't recommend Radius more highly.
As a lady in a heavily male-dominated sport it's hard to find a place where I feel 100% safe, and i can say with no hesitation that Radius has always made me feel welcome, safe, and supported. Not only is the culture great, the instruction is unmatched. Highly, highly recommend.
Radius is an awesome gym to begin or continue learning martial arts. All the students really make it a friendly environment and Travis and Steve are great instructors who really care about their students. Highly recommend for new students or veterans looking to keep progressing their game.
My husband and I both train here - we expected to learn a new skill together and get in shape, and actually ended up getting to be a part of a great community. Travis, Steve, and Kurt have cultivated a unique culture that drew us to the school after scoping out several in the area. As a woman with no jiu jitsu experience, everyone I have trained with has been respectful, encouraging, and helpful in ensuring good technique from the start and pushing me to do my best. Love training here!
