Whitefish Mountain Resort

I'm giving this a one star to keep people away... Big Mountain is one of the last kept secrets in the US ski scene! Amazing terrain and snowfall, just missing alpine terrain. Plus possibly the best view from any ski area ever on a rare clear day. Still has ski bum staff and authentic people to talk to instead of tourists. So good I moved to Whitefish for the whole season a few years ago.

Wonderful resort, I’m sure anytime of the year. We went in the end of August, and the weather was perfect. My wife and I stayed at the Gray Wolf condos on Aplinglow Drive and were so relaxed. What a peaceful, beautiful trip. The ski lift at the resort is really fun and the folks who run it are cheerful and friendly. The drive up the mountain is a little unnerving idea you aren’t used to it, but after a day or two it gets really easy. Plus, the resort is covered with trailheads, incredible views, and is super close to Whitefish and Kalispell.

Nice summer activities going on here. Parking was free. Food and beverage was good. We took a lift to go up and hike down on Danny on. It was very beautiful to hike with lots of huckleberries along the walk. Somewhat stiff walking though,

I loved it!!! We had a blast there... Though it's not open for tourists till now... Not sure it will open or no for the tourists this winter cus of the situation...

Loved this place! The zip line course was legit! True definition of zip lining. Very pleased with the tour guides we had, they kept it light hearted and fun! Great experience, already planning our return trip!
