Keen Lake Camping Cottage Resort

Just got back from a much needed break here. We rented the primrose cabin which exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and accommodation. It was my first time and I had not expected much but the cabin was well supplied and in good condition. When the gas grill ran out of propane it was promptly replaced, within the hour. I also loved that we could rent the canoe/kayaks for a full or half day and just literally paddle it up to our cabin for a lunch break. Our dog enjoyed having her space to run around (we don't have a yard at home ) and the yard area was generously furnished with a patio dining area, picnic table, 2 lounge chairs, a large fire pit with plenty of seats, and best of all two perfectly distanced trees to hang a hammock on right by the lake. I also appreciated that the tv is updated for any kind of streaming service( sign in to your own account), and also has cable with all the movie channels and of course wifi....I know that's not what we go to the lake for but it's nice to have on a rainy/chilly afternoon. The cabin had 2 bedrooms, it was just us two and the dog but could have easily accommodated 2-3 other people. The couch and living room furniture is surprisingly modern and very comfortable so someone could easily sleep on the couch of you have a full house. I was skeptical when I heard that the cabins were equipped with dishes/cooking supplies/toilet paper/cleaning supplies etc. so I brought our own stuff only to realize I could have done without because they really did supply everything we needed, even trash bags! The fireplace is easily turned on with a remote and keeps it toasty if needed. The weather had started to turn when we arrived , so we didn't get to swim or use the beaches but we did enjoy taking walks around the common grounds , or going for hikes (beautiful trails just 5 mins away) when we weren't canoeing or enjoying the scenery from our deck/yard area. So happy we found this place and hope to come back again and again!

Our family just set out on a year long adventure! We departed from Baltimore, MD and headed to Keen Lake for our very first stop! We absolutely loved our stay! The owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful. It's a family owned business which we loved supporting! Our campsite was spacious and wooded...we were #61. Other area looked like sites were closer together. Lucky for us ours was also located across a playground for our son to play. There were tons of play areas,nice size pool, fishing and water rentals. Keen Lake has become a annual Tradition in my Family. Its a great Place, and i Recommend anyone who has never tried camping, to Give Keen a try. You will be Happy..

The worst camping experiences ever. We reserved for lakeside, promised at Island View In front of the Keen lake by the Keen lake crew, and paid the half of the full payment as downpayment. I was due to pay the rest of the payment one week prior to our arrival date, then the Keen lake crew said our sites are assigned next to a swamp area. Not the lake side view.nIt was for three camp sites for 10 people and the Keen lake crew simply responded to cancel it if we don’t want it one week prior to our vacation days. We had no other options but to keep the reservation hoping that at least sites near the swamp are not too bad.nOnce we got there, we found out our newly assigned sites, 149, 149A and 149B were right next to route 6 highway. For whole two nights, our babies would wake up in shock in the middle of the night due to the noise from trucks/cars accelerating up to the highway, and we were able to barely sleep.nI would NOT recommend this camp site! I’m pretty sure there may be a little better located sites in the Keen lake, however knowing that the team can assign a new visiting group in such a horrible location, I can confidently say that It was the worst camping experience for us!

What a great weekend we had Keen Lake. Love the layout of the campground. An the staff was very friendly and helpful. Best of all there's plenty to do. An at the end of the day you can relax by a campfire over looking the lake
