Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA Journey

Very nice overnight KOA! Scenic, easy in and out ( once you make it there ) It is off the highway but you have to wind your way back there but it is worth it! Clean facilities. Limited staff contact (none for me). Paperwork was done when we got there with all the info we needed to get to our site and get settled in and comfortable for our nights stay!

This campground is on a hill that is very difficult to manuever with big rigs. The drive up to the CG was on a very narrow, windy road. Fortunately, the signage was good.nThe interior road is a circle and to get to the sites, you have to go to the top of a hill and make a sharp turn while you are going up the hill. There's a sign that says keep your momentum through the turn.nThe interior roads were bumpy and uneven.nThe sites are level and fairly close to the others.nDon't follow the GPS. Follow the KOA signs. GPS takes you to a place it looks like would be impossible to turn around.nIt was quiet; some freeway noise. We didn't use any amenities.

The sky was amazing - great view. Yes, interstate noise, but you don’t stop in Washington PA for nature - it’s convenient. As a one night stopover it was perfect. And we got Eat-n-park delivered by door dash! Bathrooms perfect.

Nice place. I like the bathroom/ shower it was really nice. The one thing I did not like the spot tent 8 area. Little bit if a hill. But to get to the bath house people have to go through our camp area.

The campground was in good shape and facilities were clean. We stayed over night in a camping cabin. No touch check-in was provided, but the host did come out and guide us to the correct cabin. The location is pretty, but there is a little highway noise in some places in the grounds.
