We didn’t get to see much of the river trail because we didn’t bring a bike and it was a bit later when we arrived after the tunnel. But I have witnessed that the river was awesome. Be sure to wear a good pair of hiking boots/shoes because there are plenty of things to see and the hills are a bit steep and hard to climb. I’m kind of envious of the people who gets to live by the river in their private cabins because it is such a beautiful sight to witness everyday. I think the only downside of the place is it’s poor phone/internet signal strength, otherwise, I’d buy my own place to live there in a heartbeat.nAlso, we would like to go back again this fall if the weather is nice. If not, it’ll be first in our list this spring to explore for a bike ride.

Nice beautiful and serene very level and scenic For biking and walking many bird species including Scarlet Tanager. Easy parking too. Follows along the Allegheny River. It wasn’t crowded on a Tuesday at all.

WOW! This trail is awesome. Sorry I explored the trail during mid-Summer instead of Fall with the beautiful jewel toned colors. Summer was still a delight. Riding along the river on a flat, paved trail under a sun-kissed sky with hot temps seems kind of perfect. The tunnels are adventureous and my safe close encounters with a live porcupine and giant brown millipedes were just amazing for a city person.

Outstanding bike trail. Tunnels, bridges, paved, shaded, flat.
