Come for the hike, and stay for the waterfalls. There is a lot that is offered beyond these attractions (for instance the picnic areas and the playground), and it is free. This is a matter of some consideration in this case. This is the rare example of a state park that could really, genuinely use a few bucks, as its funding is not derived from tax dollars (so few of which are required for the upkeep of parks that benefit all, but I digress). So, by all means, check it out, enjoy your visit, and toss a coin to your bewitcher in this valley of plenty.

It was a great walk in the woods. The boardwalk up above the falls was a great surprise and then I saw all the change that visitors inserted into the wood of the boardwalk as well as the huge rock. I truly recommended this trail for almost any level hikers.

A great place to hike. Trails are decently marked, fairly flat (except from the very beginning), and not very technical. One trail follows into another, and you can take Woodland, Gorge, Wetland, Overlook, Fall Brook trails as one loop that circles the creek going on both sides of it. There are hunters in the area, so don't worry if you hear shots. Nobody is hunting near trails, since there is not much wildlife around.

Despite what I read in other reviews, the trails we took were very well maintained and marked. They have an extensive trail system. A friendly gentleman was available to help and provide maps on the porch of the house at the main parking area. I’m not sure if there is someone there all week, we were there on a Sunday afternoon. If there are no paper maps I recommend taking a picture of the one at the kiosk. Great stop when passing through on 81- we will be back to explore the rest of the trails. No fee to enter.

The water trail is beautiful and changes with the seasons, so you get a surprise each time you go. Once you leave the water trail and hike up into the forest, you are hit with an amazing, wide, green meadow with the expanse of the blue skies as a canopy. This place is a piece of heaven.
