The school really isn't that bad. I've been here since 2nd grade and I've liked it so far. It's really gone down hill since a certain principle left, but they have been trying there best. Most of the kids here don't like it but a lot of them don't realize that they probably won't find a better one. The dress code can prevent kids making fun of others clothes for they where the same thing. The tardy's are necessary for this school prepares you to get a job. Look, people bring up the fights, but they're not fights. More like pathetic slap fights between 2 girls. Look, the school isn't perfect, but my life would be nothing without this school. I've made friends that I'd give up my life for. If it wasn't for this school, I'd be very depressed. So take em here, try it out, and I'm sure you won't regret it. Here's some Ricardo Milos to get you through your day.

This place is really nice! The teachers are very helpful and the elevators help disabled students get upstairs without having lots of trouble taking the stairs.

The most smartest thing we could have ever done was take my kids out of this school. The worst decision I could of made for my kids was putting them in this school and letting them stay for 4 years because I feared public school. It was horrible.

As a former teacher here I have a few things to say about this place, mostly concerning administration and their policies. The admin team here is at best incompetent and complacent. They seem to care more about their image and covering their own butts than they do about the staff they manage and the well being of students. This is clearly reflected in the high turnover rate of teachers, especially in the middle school side. They attempt to push new programs on us that mostly fail, a perfect example being Flex Time, in which after school duties were forced upon staff who are explicitly given the time after school to prep and attend meetings/IEPs. The blind enforcement of the strict dress code policy does NOTHING for the individual education of our students and only causes a disconnect between teachers and kids. Constantly having to call out violations in the classroom distracts from the learning environment. In my opinion the dress code is another perfect example of the admin team's complacency, considering the fact that Losee is a two star school and enforcing dress code does not help that rating in the slightest. I think admin should be looking at more logical and reasonable methods to boost the rating, get more funding, and obtaining more materials and resources for the classroom. Speaking of which, there were several occasions in which I had to buy my own paper due to the fact that we only received an allotment of (2) packages per month. Whereas teachers at Skypointe had an unlimited supply. Paper for teachers should NEVER be a luxury. I'm not saying this is the admin team's fault necessarily, but I believe lack of resources and supplies help contribute to the school's decline. I sincerely hope an administrator sees this review and considers what I have to say. I'm not bashing anyone specifically and this was in no way intended to come across as hateful and derogatory. I wanted to provide the public and parents with an educator's perspective on how this campus is run and I just want to see change, cause all I got while I was working there was "There's nothing we can do".
