My boyfriend and I took a trip up here last weekend and stayed at Ole Bull Campground. I have been camping (primitive and non) my entire life. Let me tell you, this is by far the nicest campground I've ever stayed at. The bathrooms are IMPECCABLE. I would literally pay $50 just for the bathrooms alone. Plus you are in the middle of the forest, right next to a creek. We could walk via a trial at the back of our camp site, to the creek and up along it. Dogs are allowed on one side of the creek and no dogs on the other side. This was great, as I didn't have to worry about my dog annoying others. If you don't like dogs, you just stay across the creek. I had a great experience and hope to be back soon.nnPS: Get gas before you enter into the park. Closest gas is a little far (at least along the route we came in)

All of the State Parks are awesome.

This little campground was a lovely base for our visits to Cherry Springs State Park for some star gazing. There's not a ton to do in the park but what's there is well maintained. In fact, the shower house within the campground itself was impeccable. The two exterior dishwashing sinks were appreciated.

A review from a first time camper:nMy girlfriend and I went to Ole Bull this past weekend and had an amazing time! Camp ground was very clean and bathrooms were also. The mini beach on the river was maintained and cleaned daily. Camp sights are a little close together but plenty of grassy spots. Friendly neighbors with a mix of RV, pop ups and tents. We used a small tent and were about 50 yards from the bathroom and shower. Highly recommend checking this park out and only 30 minutes from cherry springs! Notes: no cell phone service for calls or directions within an hour from the park. Bring wood, and food/beer since theres only one store/restaurant within 30 minutes. Overall a great time and we highly recommend!

Park Rangers were super friendly and the bathrooms were clean. Alot to do in the area and there is absolutely no cell phone service in or around the park. Nice getaway from the real world.
