Well maintained trail that is fun to explore. We visited while it was raining and 1 °C (34 °F), and had a blast. We hiked on the trail for an hour or so while collecting pine cones. Some large branches were on the floor, perhaps a result of the freeze that took place a couple of weeks ago (see pictures below).
Awesome hiking and scenic views, very peaceful with no traffic noise at all in most parts. Before they drained the pond it had some of the best Crappie fishing in the area. Great bird watching as well with diverse habitat and well maintained trails.
Great area to be in. Love it here.
