The lake is very beautiful, plenty of areas for sun bathing and picnics. The trail by the lake is great for hiking up to the monument, about a 40 min hike up. Would definitely recommend for families, couples or even by yourself.
Nice place to park and fish from shore. I did not catch anything on my trip there, but there was a nice picnic bench in a convenient shaded spot near shore.
Small, but beautiful lake.
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Google will take you directly to boat launch. Smooth launch where you can take the car near to the lake. Parking can be an issue but we went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 5 boats. A bit shallow near to the bank on certain edges. Please keep an eye and maneuver with paddle to save your boat bottom. Enjoy!!
