Trail was perfect. Not to many people. Not a hard trail to walk. Just watch for the tree roots. My kids kept tripping. And the falls are perfect to sit at and relax.
Another reason to relax at Promised Land State Park! Went for a nice pic i nic at the lake, walked around a bit then went for a drive to the back of lower lake section and stumbled upon the Little Falls Trail and took a chance. A short distance (15 minutes, mostly level, easy.) on a well marked, although muddy in parts trail, lead us to the bridge crossing the creek and the view seen in the photo. I was starting to climb for a better photo when another visitor warned us of the snake coiled on the rocks at creeks edge (not pictured). We saw no other critters on the path but I live up the hill and less than a mile as the crow flys and had three bears pass through the back yard the same morning. I love living in the woods. Come to the area and see for yourself!
This is a great, easy trail with hiking shoes or boots. Lots of photo opportunities. It's a beautiful forest and the waterfall is so peaceful.
Cute little hike along the creek. Pretty little waterfalls along the way. A lot of roots and rocks so watch your step.
A fairly level one mile trail that follows a stream. The stream has several small water falls. You need to take care in walking due to lots of tree roots and rocks.
