My husband took our expedition into him in June to have the a.c. compressor replaced. He had it done in less than 24 hours. AWESOME. My husband paid him in full.nWhen our car had other problems the next month in the beginning of July, we took it back to him. He said he was pretty busy but would take it on. A few couple weeks go by and my husband is calling periodically to check in. He says he thinks he knows the problem, giving my husband cost estimates along the way. No problem. My husband tells him it needs fixed no matter what. The last time my husband talked to him was August 10th after he had it for over a month. He said it should be ready by the following saturday just two days away. We spent the next 40 days making 20 phone calls (my husband has counted and has the proof) leaving messages and even left a message with his wife who answered one day. Never an answered call besides that or a call back. 7 trips to the shop during posted business hours and only found it locked up, sometimes with lights on and his and his wife's vehicles outside and despite knocking the door was never answered. Eventually my husband called the police and explained the strange situation and how me his wife is pregnant and were having a baby in December and we really need this car before then.nThe officer agrees it's strange and goes down to talk to him. Just a half hour or so after my husband had been down there knocking on the door and shop windows, he answers the door for the officer. He says he is waiting on a part but that our car is parked across the street, unlocked, with the keys inside. Like really?!!! Are you serious?!?!!!!nIf someone were to steal our car and cause property damage with it, we are legally responsible for that! 41 days, parked outside across the street, not being worked on, no communication, UNLOCKED with the keys inside! So my husband leaves work and heads straight down there since the officer confirmed he's there. Doors locked, not answering, despite knocking on the overhead door windows. My husband can't leave our car unlocked, and the guy won't answer the door so my husband can give him the keys. So my husband locks it and takes the keys. Later that evening we realize that he can't work on it with out keys, and we can't give them to him without contact.nAfter all, after 30 days a car can be considered abandon, or unpaid bill on it can be reason to file for our title.nSo after trying one last time to get him to come to the door, my husband leaves with our car discouraged that he had it over two months and we don't even know that he did anything. It's running worse than before. And my husband also found he has either hit something in our car, or someone has hit our car. Our car is black now with a big white scuff on the bumper, both of his cars are white mind you. This place cost us time and money.nSummer vacation cancelled, winter coming and still no closer to being fixed. Thanks a lot.
