Beautiful family and pet friendly trail. There is a small parking in the woods a quarter mile up the trail from the main road, and a larger parking right on the road. About a mile of very gently climbing forested terrain (with charming wooden bridges back and forth across the creek that kids will love) gets you to a scenic waterfall. Then if you're up for it, there's a more technical trail that climbs up more steeply up the creek valley and along the creek from up high with stunning views. But it's narrow, and involves constantly dodging fallen trees and scrambling up slippery rocks in parts so this part probably isn't for families with small kids or less athletic dogs. But persist and you will see beautiful views of the creek valley and one lovely waterfall after another to reward you for the sweat. Something for everyone.
Indian Ladders waterfall at Hornbecks Trail, Delaware Water Gap, PA. Short easy hike to the first fall where there is a nice cascade into a pool (and a rope swing!) What a treat of a spot! This is one of at least three spectacular waterfalls along PA 209, and all within 20 minute drive from the other. They are formed from mountains dumping their water back into the Delaware River to start the cycle again ud83dude42
Very beautiful trail!nnSo quiet and natural. Those wooden bridges it has along the way are so cute!nnA stream runs along the trail from a very beautiful waterfall at the end. The water is so clear!nnWe went after it rained. So the mosses were thriving, which gave the forest so much more color.nnWe would definitely go again!
Awesome hike peaceful and just so relaxing would definitely recommend.
Nice area.nEasy hike it's just 1.5 miles.
