Reviews
So before I actually went to this salon, I looked up the reviews and to be completely honest they weren't that good. But since it was a last minute thing for my 26th birthday I decided to go. I called in to make an appointment I believe for 4pm. The stylist came late after we discuss what time I'd be there. I did my own coloring because I'm cheap and she made sure to acknowledge my how bad of a job I had doneud83dude2d. There were times when I thought she was talking to me but it turns out she was on her phone(the entire time). I didn't know that she also dose waxing so I got my eyebrows done after I got my blowout. The final results were BEYOND my expectationsud83dude0dud83dudc4fud83dudc4fud83dudc4fud83dudc4f I felt soooo beautiful. The last time I went to a beauty shop was two years ago and although there were some bumps in the road during my process I will definitely be going back.
10/10 would recommend. Chantay was amazing and did an amazing job on my hair for prom. I’m so happy with it. It’s beautiful Chantay did exactly what I wanted to PERFECTION!!!
Shantay was amazing she did my hair the way I wanted it and I loved it I’m never disappointed when she does my hair .
I really wanted to have a positive experience with this salon, as I had high hopes when first talking with the hairdresser on the phone. But the service was disgraceful. This was my first and last visit to this salon. My appointment was for 9:30am, and she was more than a half hour late. Then as she’s working on my hair— I was there for a weave— she asked ME to thread her needles for her. Then she blasts me about my age(I look young for my age) to her “nephew” and then asks me to get up and turn around, as if I’m on display! Very inappropriate. Not even 1/4 done on my hair and she asks ME if she could take on the customer that just walked in! Then when the customer sits, she goes MIA for about another half hour. When she returns, it takes her more than the 20min she first told me she would take on the client’s hair, which ended up being more than an hour. Before that client leaves, ANOTHER customer and her mother walks in. It was their first time as well, and their appointment was supposed to be at 12:30pm. Then the hairdresser tells them, 1pm. Needless to say, they did not get their hair started on until after I left— which was about 2:15pm. By then, ANOTHER customer was waiting after them. When she came back to my hair and put more tracks on, I noticed she cut a few of them short. When I asked why, she said that I told her one side was thin— which was false. I told her no, I said several times that when my hair is straightened it seems thin. Throughout the hours her family came in and out, she had cigarette breaks, bathroom breaks, and even ordered food. She also ranted about the previous client to another client, which shows more poor business etiquette. I have never witnessed such unprofessionalism at a cosmetology business before. She went as far to tell me that with my patience and helping her do MY hair was worth the discount she was giving me. Rates of service should never dictate how you should treat a customer. The pieces of hair she cut off from the bundles I brought in she just threw on the floor. Then when I ask if she double wefted it, she said just the back. Not what I asked for at all. At that point I wasn’t planning on leaving a tip, but I’m not classless. When I got home and straightened my hair, I discovered that she did not flatten the top section of my hair, and it was poorly glued. I definitely got what I paid for— $120 for a blended weave(I have a big undercut/she said it was a vixen, but it definitely wasn’t) + over 4hours of bad service. I tipped $6, which should've been none. Which is sad enough, because I had brought 20% tip in cash, which was clearly not deserved. The whole situation has me feeling worse as experienced. My hair looks passably ok, but it is not an excuse-- the weave should've been done immaculately as any trained cosmetologist would do. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone— first timer or not. You’re better off going somewhere better, trust me. Research the place, go in and check it out first. I thought it was a promising salon, but I really wasted my time and money here. Hopefully in the future the hairdresser will learn to be on time, commit to clients, and have a decent business overall.
Although she comes across knowledgeable of hair and procedures, she has no clue how to sew a lace wig on without using glue. My hairline is irritated from the glue. She did not follow proper procedure for gluing it down. When I requested a fix, she got irate, blamed me for her lack of listening to my requests, and hung up on me. I sent her pictures of my hair and let her know I would give a review on her service.nnI would not recommend going to her for this kind of hairstyle.nnThe wait time is ridiculously long. My appointment was at 345pm and I didn't get out until 715pm because she over booked. She claimed that I was the one rushingwas rushing but never mentioned that I warned her an hour before I had to leave. She knew I had to leave and I made 3 attempts to tell her about the time and she basically told me to wait. Listen after I told her twice I had to leave, she went and did this lady's individual eyelashes... Come on! My hair was a less than hour job.nnOverall, she did not service me as her client respectfully and putting my feelings of hoe she did my hair before her own defense. Her customer service skills are sorely lacking. First thing in customer service is that the customer is always... not sometimes but, always right.nnIf you need your lace wig sewn or glued on properly, you may contact me on FB. I have done this for over 10 years. I will do it for you at a reasonable price. Just search my name.nnThanks...
