We visited this nearby trail for the first time this weekend and it was lovely. However, we were also never clear which exactly was the trail and what sort of access is permitted. At the turnaround/trailhead parking at the end of the road there is a heavily locked fence that represents the continuation of Paradise Ridge Road - and private property signs. So we entered the trail and went left (downhill). However the trail seemed to peter out about .8 mile. We came back and noticed the trail went up and around the locked gate to the road, and nothing besides the gate is posted. We hike the road up a ways, probably illegally. Can anyone clarify the situation with this trail and was is or is not permitted? It’s gorgeous and so close! But we want to respect posted private property.
It's a great close local hike for anyone in Moscow. Not too long or steep, but a decent workout. Good views from the top. About two miles each way from end to end.
The views are awesome, especially if your working on a cell phone tower up there
