Had an amazing experience learning and practicing with Underwater World. My instructor was very nice and helpful. Everyone at the shop is informative and resourceful. Overall great experience for a beginner diver!

Hmm. It wasn't difficult to decide whether to give 4 or 5 stars. While I did have multiple bad experiences with a certain instructor who I will not name, another instructor completely made up for it. My second instructor, Dan, was absolutely amazing. His class was great, I was always learning and felt completely safe and instructed. He helped me with my certification dives to such an extent that it felt like we were related, like in a family, that's how comforting and caring he was. Overall, a 1 star experience with my first instructor, but Dan MORE than made up for it. Dan is a wonderful instructor that deserves more praise than any human is capable of.

Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Was seeking info on cert classes for my wife. I'm certified already but haven't dove in years. Underwater World has tons of classes at different times and locations. My wife is going to sign up for a class in the Spring of 2018 to finish the cert before our vacation in Summer 2018. I'm going to take a one night refresher course as well which was very reasonably priced. Also bought my wife a mask and snorkel. We will definitely be going back for more gear and advice in the future!

I started going to Underwater World about a year ago after being dissatisfied with another dive shop in the area. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and was treated like I was a lifelong friend and customer. I started diving with the staff and other customers regularly and have developed some great friendships and expanded my dive buddy network. I slowly purchased my own dive gear and never once felt pressured or pushed to buy the best or most expensive piece of equipment, rather it was important to them that I buy the gear that was correct for me. If I bought something that didn't fit or work as well for me underwater as it did in the shop (mask ended up flooding a lot for example) they would exchange it and help find the right fit.nnI just completed my Advanced Scuba Diver certification through them and have to say that it was the best instruction I've ever had. I am a completely different diver as a result. I feel confident, far more comfortable and most importantly, safer underwater now. If your diving and haven't done it it's well worth the time and money to do so! Hands down the best dive operation in the area in my opinion!
