I love the challenge and the close bonds you get with your peers from a small school environment. This school is NOT FOR EVERYONE. Some kids are going to think that there is too much homework and the work is too hard. It is a lot of work, but staying organized and not procrastinating cuts down your work load immensely.

This school has brought me such success in life. I am very proud of my education, which was changed from a C to an A+, and am very proud to have been a student here. I am very happy that my band teacher, Mr. Harrison, taught me the skills of the trumpet. I now have a career teaching you students how to play musical instruments. It is all thanks to this school. I am very pleased to say that I have received a Masters Degree in the education program and when my employer asked where I went to high school, I immediately thought of this school. If you are struggling in this school, everything will turn out fine. Just continue working on your grades and they will improve. (And if you play the trumpet, Mr. Harrison does a great job at tutoring.)

This school is a very advanced school. The curriculum is definitely no joke. The sports program has improved as our girls soccer team has won the state championship five years in a row. The students are especially nice and the community is the best. The school, however, is pretty poor and the roofs leak sometimes. But hey, the buckets add to the charm. Almost every kid here has anxiety, but they all get through it together building lifelong bonds.

Honestly, although they are a great school education wise, make sure that you factor in personal life and mental health. Although I have had fun and made great friends, my personal life really has taken a toll, especially since the ever increasing homework load keeps me awake late into the night often. After years of schooling, this has become the norm but so has anxiety and a feeling of loss for the traditional highschool experience. I can only hope that going here can help give me some good scholarships when I go off to college so that the hours of work I put in can be rewarded with a good future. Just make sure to consider other things than scholarly aspects when considering this school.

Our grandson started Charter as a 6th grader 2019-20 school year. He shows wonderful benefits and self growth. Charter just feels good!
