Although not a 'wilderness' experience, this refuge on the grounds of an old golf course, does make for an serene walk. The tree-lined paths and meadow areas were beautiful this autumn. I also enjoyed the descriptive signs along the trails. I hope that more trails will eventually be extended into more rugged sections of the refuge.

Wonderful nature refuge with lots to see year round. (Because of wildlife, no dogs are allowed. Also no bicycles.) Former golf course, it still has cart paths making it easy to walk with hilly terrain. Plenty of educational signs provided by US Fish and Wildlife Service. Front nine trail and back nine trail are each 1.7 miles. Several habitats including Stream, Wetlands, Forest, Meadow, and Brush Pile. Incredible to see nature reclaim the space!

Beautiful NWR on a reclaimed golf course. Several plots all worthwhile and interesting for hiking, birding and photography.

Front nine has all paved trails. A little hilly but a nice walk.
