Red Dot Trail is well mapped by tics. If you enjoy a hike I would suggest this trail and coming down the Blue Dot Trail. It is quite steep with some stops for rock scrambles, but if you take your time and bring a fair amount of water you will get to the top of Mt Tammany with no sweat. If you would like less steep of an incline I would recommend coming up the Blue Dot Trail which is just longer with less views of the Delaware River.nEnjoy!

Red dot trail we found going up was moderately challenging. Blue dot trail was longer but not as narrow and steep as the red. Got there about 10 and left about 4 with a longer rest at the top. Parking was fine for us at 10 but was filling up even on a weekday. We enjoyed our hike and beautiful scenery! God bless!

Yes, I would agree many, the hike on RED DOT is tough and definitely not for the low heart person. I happen to visit with the family to capture some fall colors and view is promising for sure! I would love to visit again and may be during summer time. Over all it is definitely an hike and worth.

Decently challenging trail with a good view at the top. The trail itself isn't very scenic though. If you're looking to get a good workout in this is a good trail. If you just want to take scenic stroll I would consider something else.

It’s a beautiful great. We took the trail to climb up and stairs to get down. It’s a beautiful view from the top the trail up the hill is difficult (roughly a mile) but it’s fun. It is definitely worth trying.nnWe climbed up with a five-year-old. He enjoyed the trail and walking down the stairs.
