My wife and I spoke to one of the gentleman there and specifically talked about filing for an injured spouse(Form 8379) to be precise due to myself having some back tax issues. Well come to find out this morning, after seeing a significant percentage of our taxes being withheld to pay off the debt, Form 8379 wasn't even filed with the taxes.nSo long story short, because they failed to submit the correct form which we were told was submitted, my wife of less than a year of being married is paying for something that happened 9 years ago. Would have had better results at H&R Block.
