Just GORGE-ous. Very peaceful and relaxing. A must stop. It's not as deep as Hells Canyon, but it's a nice side stop on the way to or from Shoshone Falls and Perrine Bridge. Fantastic photo opportunity there.

I've always loved stopping here on our trips through the area. It is a state park, so a $5 entry fee applies (if you can make it to another state park in the same day, they will honor your $5 entry fee, doubling your value. A quick Google search for Idaho state parks will show you other parks that will honor that.).nHowever, it is an impressive and fantastic geological site with good history. I Definitely recommend crossing the footbridge and going out to the western lookout to get a good view of the gorge and the waterfall under the bridge.nMy only critique is that some of the information panels at the lookout are water damaged and illegible. Otherwise, this is a great place to take children to enjoy some of the wonders of nature.
