Great human being who offers what he has without expecting anything in return. Cold beer, great campfire and met great travelers during our stay. Well worth the dust. Not many like Scar, who's only ask is that you are a decent human who says hello and is conscientious about keeping his four legged friend Ruby, safe from food allergies during your stay. So glad to have been guests at his place and will definitely return!

We stayed here one night in August while passing through the area and ended up having one of the best nights on our trip. Great area, great beer, and great conversation with Scar and some other campers while hanging out around Scar’s fireplace at night. If you can follow the simple and practical rules stated on the website, take the time and check out Honey’s Park!

Show up and you'll meet Scar, a welcoming host with useful tips for the surrounding area. Have a chat, he has a great sense of humor. Tent camping is great here, just find a more flat area... easy with little to no effort. He also provides electric connections for campers/trailers (30A&50A) and 15A for standard 110AC power.nScar has a few reasonable requests during your stay so please listen and oblige. If it's not for you, there is a KOA next door... but you should be able to play nice for a free nights stay, and free amenities (including great campfire conversation and beer!), right?

Read the website, if it makes you feel like you have to go then you will have the time of your life. If you think KOAs are awesome then stay at the one next door. Scar is a great host and someone I now consider a lifetime friend. We had the best time ever.

I'll start by giving advice to others that want to stay. Read the website first. This is Scar and Ruby's home, treat it as such. It is not a business and you can get the boot at any time. Respect it. Now that we cleared that up...nnHoney's Park is the most unique place I've stayed so far. Scar and Ruby are very hospitable and kind. I stayed more than a few days and had a great time talking to all kinds of travelers. I was drawn to this place because my dog had recently passed so it seemed fitting to stay at a memorial park for his dogs. I was honored that Scar was very thoughtful to let me place my own memorial to Dakota. First one on site! If any one else is interested, there is info, on the WEBSITE. LOL. It was great to meet you two, I will be back next year. Thanks again.nnThis review is approved bynThe Rv'ers United Motor Pool-2020
