Hyde park is the famous historic place at the north of downtown Boise and popular for eateries and locally owned specialty shops; including the Hyde Park Pub & Grill, Goody's, G. Wilikers, Java and Hyde House. The buidings, architecture of the area, the retail area and restaurants are the main attractions here. It is just a walking distance to Camel's back park.nnThroughout the year, diverse events and activities are arranged nu local merchants. Hyde Park Street Fair is the biggest one which includes vendors, food, live music, demonstrations, a children's area, and a parade.nnLast time when I went there, I visited an antique shop and discovered my liking towards unique antiques. I used to go there to have ice cream and candies from Goody's. They have various kinds of flavors.nI highly recommend it if you want to discover Boise's history.

This area known as Hyde Park is a historic, old shopping area which is been renovated into restaurants. There are a few very nice little stores which typically sell more unique items. There are various shops like: ice cream shop, pizza places, bars, Mexican food, gas station which sells groulers, breakfast places, and several good restaurants. It is very walking friendly and dog friendly. Several places to park with one area with pay parking. It is a short walk to Camel's back park. It is located in the historic north end of Boise.

Nice to look at the houses, but the rumours are not true. THEY DO NOT GIVE OUT FULL SIZE CANDY BARS! It is ALOT of walking, LONG lines to wait in at EVERY house, and definitely a one and done kind of experience. Been there, done that, dont need to do it again. Plus there are TONS of people, it is hard to walk on the sidewalk, if you have a stroller you are walking in the street which means whoever is pushing the stroller cannot be with the kiddos. Thankfully the street is closed to vehicles.
