I never leave reviews but feel the need to give Puentes the 5 stars it deserves. This school is great! The staff are the perfect blend of caregivers and teachers. Our son learned so much from teacher's Migdy, Lorraina, and Olfeia and everyone else on staff. They use an app in which you as a working parent can check in on your child at any time of the day, they are responsive to emails and phone calls and were following many of the post-pandemic procedures of washing/cleaning hands before the pandemic hit. We are sadly moving and wish we could take all of the staff with us. Thank you Trudy for running an exceptional program!

Our family LOVES Puentes! We love the teachers and our kids are welcomed with love and open arms each morning. Our children have been with Puentes for nearly 4 years now and they are thriving.

We’ve had experience with 4 daycares. Our 3-year old has been at Puentes for over a year, and we intend to enroll our youngest when she meets the age requirement. I am impressed with the Spanish immersion curriculum, but equally impressed with the quality of the staff.nnSome noteworthy things about our experience:nn•tOur family doesn’t speak Spanish, but we intend to learn in the hope of keeping up with our children. (Our fear of not being able to understand the language has not been an inhibiting factor as we once thought it might).nn•tThe staff is very capable; good communication amongst themselves/parents, a real desire to be accommodating, strong education backgrounds of teachers, and more flexibility than what we’ve encountered with other facilities.nn•tEmphasis on teaching through hands-on learning with art projects, singing (good for language development), dancing, expectations for children, and structured/unstructured play. (This seems like it should be a given, but we found many places to rely more on unstructured play and screen time as methods for passing the day, and like that there’s more expectations of our child at Puentes).nn•tAdditional exposure to cultural holidays and customs outside of my own ideas and areas of competency.nnWhen I asked the owner, Trudy, why she started Puentes, she told me that she wanted to create something that she would have liked to have available when her children were in daycare. I feel fortunate to have our family be a part.nnHope this is helpful.

Response to owner - 1 of 2nHello Trudy,nI am in receipt of your e-mail dated May 13, 2019, in response to my review/s of your business named Puentes Daycare and Preschool. Furthermore, I am sorry to hear that you feel very disappointed and perplexed by my review.nHere is my response to your e-mail with further facts and findings:n1. Hard feelings – If I used the term “hard feelings” in my last e-mail to you it was about any monies owed and/or payment to you.n2. Attack – The meaning as a verb and noun are as follows: verb – take aggressive action against (a place or enemy forces) with weapons or armed force, typically in a battle or war. “In December, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.” Noun – an aggressive and violent action against a person or place. “He was killed in an attack on a checkpoint.” You used this word twice within you e-mail and that is very strong word to use to describe a person. As you will notice, I have not written and/or left many reviews on any businesses in the past. Like I stated in my review regarding your business – It is not easy for me to write a review and I stand firm on that statement. I have never attacked you, your assistants and/or business!n3. False statements and/or exaggerations – You were personally made aware of each incident by either e-mails and/or verbally. As you will notice, I did not state any feelings and simply stated the facts of each incident. All incidents are true and have not been exaggerated!n4. Sanitizing and/or washing toys – Sanitizing and/or washing the toys are all part of a sanitation process/plan. For your information, I have been made aware by current and former assistants that you do not sanitize the daycare/preschool center. Furthermore, I recently had an assistant share with me that there is growing fungus in your center because lack of sanitation. By the way, you have had several current and former assistants ask you to hire a cleaning crew and/or maintenance worker to clean and sanitize the center daily, but you have never accepted that idea. You know and are aware as much as I am that I could easily report this to the State of Idaho Sanitation Department.
