The place looks more better than the Idaho Falls location. Wow and yes it deserves 5 star rating for excellent.

I have been a member of the Y for about 11 years now and am currently a member of a family plan that hasn’t been reactivated due to my family not being comfortable with the COVID situation. Knowing that the account was inactive I went in to do a workout with my buddy who has guest passes. However, when we tried to check in, the front desk person told us that they are only taking members at the moment and guest passes and day passes aren’t allowed for the time being. We got a manager out and asked him to make an exception because I have been a member for so long and My family would reactivate the account as soon as they were comfortable with going. However, he refused without even seeming to consider it. His only advice was to start a membership of my own, which is completely illogical considering our family account would be reactivated within a month or two at most. Seemed to me that he was more concerned about getting money out of me than providing a good and safe environment for the members. Really disappointed to see how they treat their members, especially considering how involved my family has been over the years of our membership (swim team, swim lessons, triathlons, fun runs, and y camps just to name a few things we participated in every year). I will be asking my family to remove me from our plan and get a membership elsewhere.

I learned that the Boise Y, is opening in increments. I think this will prove to be a big mistake. The way COVID 19 spreads in enclosed areas where people are working out thereby viral shedding the virus at a higher rate, and in doing so putting the community in danger. I’m disappointed in the Y for the lack of judgement.

I called more than once to make sure the pool was open and they never mentioned that the slides were closed on the weekdays. My girls were excited and we were talking about getting on the slides when we were checking in and the worker never mentioned they were closed, super disappointed. I pretty much paid $27 to shower in the lockers.ud83eudd23ud83dude02

New equipment yet they sidnt even get everything they were supposed to, meanwhile the West Y did. They got rid of the 3rd bench press and t bar row. Very mediocre weight room compared to even planet fitness
