I'm not a surfer and I have not been in the waves at all but my family and I enjoy stopping our bike ride for a moment to watch the surfers do their thing. The line is always long for the surfers so it must be awesome! The surrounding paths and views are great as well.

Boise Whitewater Park is adjacent to Esther Simplot Park. The park offers observation places, seating on rocks and benches, trails, pavilion and clean restrooms. The park is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, floating, surfing and swimming.nnYou can have picnic in weekends here. Usually this place very crowded, so you should go early to get a place to sit and keep your things. Cycling through the trails is another activity that you can enjoy. The water is usually really cool, so get ready to feel chilly. The parking lot is first come first served.nnThe view and recreational activities will make your trip worthwhile. Since this park is just beside two other parks- Esther Simplot Park and Bernardine Quinn Riverside Park, I would say you can enjoy the place thrice at a time.

Beautiful surroundings. Besides the greenbelt there are spots to stand and watch the river flow. It would be nice to have some benches.
