My daughter is 7 years old. She has a pretty healthy fear of getting her face wet, though LOVES being in the water. By the SECOND class, her face was not only IN the water, but she was voluntarily putting her face in the water to practice. Our apartment has a pool that we visit VERY regularly, and I have never been able to get my daughter to do this. Michelle does a wonderful job with all the kids. My daughter has been to lessons at the Y, and they were not nearly as good at getting my daughter outside of her safety zone. She just engenders trust with the kids. If you want your child to learn how to swim, or swim better, you will never go wrong.
